Most skates sizes are the same as your normal shoe size. Basically, your skates should fit just like a normal shoe.
The first step in getting your accurate shoe size is to detemine your accurate foot measurements. To do this you will need to mesaure your feet. There are two ways you can do this.
Method 1: Measure with a standard ruler
You will need a piece of paper, a pencil/pen, and a ruler or tape measurer.
Step 1: Make sure you are wearing the same type of socks that you will wear with your new skates and pick one foot to measure. Place your foot on the paper.
Step 2: Place a mark at the end of your heel and a mark at the tip of your longest toe.
Step 3: Using both sets of marks you will then measure the distance between the marks (in inches) . If your measurements are between two sizes it is best to move up to the larger size. You may want to leave 1/4" to 1/2" room in your skates (especially if your feet are still growing).
Step 4: Now that you have determined your foot size in inches you will then need to use the tables below to convert those measurements into the right skate size for you.
Method 2: Use one of our foot sizing charts (available on select brands)
We offer foot sizing charts on some of our most popular skating brands. These charts will automatically let you know what skate size you should go with. Only use this method if you already know the brand of the skate you want to get an accurate size for.
Step 1: Determine what brand skate you are want to get an accurate size for. You can find the brand on each of the product pages.
Step 2: Print out the appropriate chart by clicking on the link below. These charts can be opened with Adobe Reader (you can get it free by clicking here).
Important: To print, just click on FILE and then click on PRINT. Find the Page Scaling section. Make sure that "None" is selected. This will make sure that the chart size stays in tact.
Step 3: Make sure you are wearing the same type of socks that you will wear with your new skates and use your right foot to measure. Place your foot on the paper. You will then be able to determine your correct skate size for that brand. If your measurements are between two sizes it is best to move up to the larger size. You may want to leave 1/4" to 1/2" room in your skates (especially if your feet are still growing).
Note: There is no need to proceed to the next steps after using Method 2 because these charts have automatically been converted to skate sizes.

Measuring Tips: -Wear the same style of socks that you will be wearing while skating; -Measure both of your feet and choose the skate size that fits the bigger foot; -If you are measuring by yourself, it is best to take the measurements while sitting. If someone is measuring for you, then standing up is best; -It may be easier to tape the paper down to keep it from moving.
Please note that sizes can vary among different skate types and brands of skates. More accurate skate sizes are available on certain skate product pages on our site.

Once you have determined what size your foot is in inches you will then need to convert your foot size to skate size. Find the appropriate chart to use for your conversion.
Note: All low top skates (e.g. speed skates) comes in mens/boys sizes. Ladies need to use the chart below to convert your size. Most high top black boot skates comes in mens/boys sizes and high top white boot skates comes in ladies sizes. Use the charts below to convert your size.
